Last weekend I was invited to exhibit at the inaugural London Illustration Fair, at Hoxton Arches in East London.
The fair showcased the work of 20 illustrators who were hand picked by a judging panel of industry experts.
Taking place over 3 days and a private view evening, the fair was heaving from beginning to end with a mix of shoppers and industry representatives and I was delighted with the feedback I received, both in sales and interest.
There was a great mixture of work on show at the event, with my particular favourites being the kawaii graphics of Masahito Takeuchi, Melody Seal's black and white nature inspired illustrations and the beautiful screen prints by Cassandra Yap.
The fair is just the first event organised by the team and I would thoroughly recommend checking out their site http://www.thelondonillustrationfair.co.uk for future show information.
Acrylic and paint markers on 100 x 100 CM canvas.
Fun day helping the general public ‘Draw The Future’ at The Westy, Aldershot as a part of The Big Draw.
Over the weekend I painted my largest ‘creature crowd’ mural to date, spanning over 20 metres in the central London office of Hotwire PR and Corporate Edge.
Featuring stylised portraits of 40 of the staff who work there and hundreds more characters from my head, the striking black and white artwork was hand drawn with paint markers in 3 days.
One for the diary…
